NEW STUFF!!!

So guys, for those of us in Australia kinect comes out now (if there's a midnight launch somewhere) as well as Need for Speed Hot Pursuit AND Assassins Creed Brotherhood. YAY.

Kinect..... For those of you who have the space for it, i bet it will be amazing!!!! only real downside is the fact that if you do happen to be playing Forza 3 and do happen to be in an endurance race of sorts, you will get extremely sore arms. From what i've experienced with the kinect at a VIP event at the city, it was pretty clean as well as heaps of fun. I had the opportunity to play Fighters Uncaged, lots of ducking and weaving and throwing actual punches, kicks, and even head butts! some downsides to the kinect, it does need you to be in a specific range (6-8 feet between you and the sensor) in order to for it to register what you're doing, it isn't direct 1:1 to what you're doing... but hey, it was a demo unit and with time these things will be fixed. still amazing fun :D

This brings us to our next awesome fun game............. NEED FOR SPEED! Oh my god how it is good to have a decent racer on the systems again, need for speed back to it's roots, which is a good thing, good old fashioned racing and fantastic chases, maybe not as good as most wanted when it comes to the cops, but only time will tell.... once i play it or see it played i'll let you guys know. from what i know NFSHP brings players and friends to a new level when it comes to racing, depending on what your online friends do in their offline campaign sets up challenges for you to complete when you get to them, not just that but i believe that if you're connected to the online community then your friends can jump into your game and if you happen to be in a chase at the time they may be able to help you out with whatever's going on.

Can't think of a good merging connection for assassins creed... but hey! ASSASSINS CREED BROTHERHOOD!

nuff said :P

Online assassinating, contracts, more intense storyline. I was lucky enough to play the beta at the same VIP event that i played kinect at (thats right..... Ubinights). the online play was really well done, there are 8 characters to pick from, once everyone chooses their character they are released into a living breathing world, in this world people are going about their business, but there's a catch, everyone resembles one of the 8 characters, so your target - lets say a barber - is standing next to another barber, if you kill the wrong one, A. you don't get points, B. you lose your current contract and C. there's a chance the guy/s that are after you (thats right up to 7 people can be after you at any one time) may have seen you commit the murder, in which case you become almost like a deer in headlights and are forced to run because you can't fight back unfortunately, nothing that new in the campaign as far as i know, but much like NFSHP time will let us know what awesomeness they have to bring to us.

This is Cho0kies new writer signing off, she will be back i promise.
